THE TALL TALES OF WOODY OAKS
Label: Milled Pavement Records
Catalog#: MP021

'The Tall Tales of Woody Oaks' is a mixture of improvised ambient soundscapes and programmed cello-accompanied beats. This semi-instrumental ep is a soft and cozy pillow of sound for the man who's home is where he puts his feet up. This is for the wandering man. The drifter. The type of fellow that rides into town and saves the preachers daughter from the crooked sheriff. It is the soundtrack to a postcard view from a scenic turnout. It is the musical equivalent of a wonderbaum hanging from the rearview mirror of a rusty pickup truck. More importantly: it is supposed to be a musical reflection of the rocky flatlands that is the heart of a young man who's mental aging is far ahead of his body's. This is for every young man who thinks too much. For those of us with sap in our veins instead of blood.
