hjort & st.pierre is producers Jason Hjort (j.hjort, slowing room, wepushbuttons) and Eric St.Pierre (late night clouds project, slowing room). Based out of Portland, ME hjort & st.pierre create euro-tinged, deep techno, with minimal and tech house influences, created specifically for the dancefloor. The duo's forte is performing live. Utilizing both hardware and software sequenced with Ableton Live, the duo's set-up allows them to cater their performance to the dancers. Mixing and mashing original basslines, synth lines, and drum grooves to create a unique experience each and every time. hjort & st.pierre are the winner of the 2009 WePushButtons Awards "Best Techno Act" and was nominated for "Best Electronic Act" in the 2010 Portland Phoenix Best Music Poll. Recently they opened for Sphongle at the State Theatre in Portland, ME.
